I am an absolute sucker for a high-end foundation. Despite drugstore foundations usually performing just as well, that fancy brand and gorgeous packaging just makes me swoon. I haven’t been disappointed by a Givenchy beauty product yet, and I’m hoping the new Givenchy Teint Couture Everwear Foundation will be no different. Could it be a contender for my wedding makeup? Let’s jump in and have a look at how it performs.
This high-coverage foundation was created by Nicolas Degennes, Makeup & Colour Artistic Director of Parfums Givenchy, to stand up to your every emotion. Its 24-hour wear, SPF 20 PA++ protection, moisturising properties and waterproof formula help you take on physical activities and varying weather conditions with ease. The non-oily, multi-sensory texture blends perfectly with your skin, leaving a layer that is imperceptible to the touch for a nude skin sensation.

Packaging and Formula
Housed in an elegant and simple glass bottle, Teint Couture is what you’d expect from the high-end fashion house. The formula is delivered through a pump and topped off with a silver lid. The pump is great at dispensing product, only a small amount comes out, which really saves on wastage – great for high end products.
The formula is thick, but not so much that it looks daunting to spread. It feels quite creamy and you can tell straight away that it is going to be a high covering foundation.
Application and Performance
Hello, coverage! While it is described as medium coverage, I’d go as far as saying it is as full as you can get while still looking relatively natural. I am really surprised at how lovely my skin looks, despite the high coverage. No caking or mask in sight. You can feel it slightly on the skin, so I wouldn’t consider it lightweight, but that is generally expected for a foundation with such a high coverage factor.
I needed to play around a little bit with application. A tried and brush and fingers, at first, and while it looked lovely, I felt like Teint Couture sunk into my fine lines and wrinkles, which really emphasised them. However, after applying the formula with a beauty sponge, it made the overall effect much more airbrushed and smooth, perhaps even sheered out a little.
In terms of wear time, Teint Couture really lasts the distance. Despite not trialling it for a full 24-hours, I can attest to just how well it stays. The finish remains quite natural and barely any oil is visible by the end of the day, and that is an achievement. The foundation photographs really well; it does sink into lines a little by the end of the day, but a quick tap of a brush or sponge quickly blends it back.
I find Givenchy Teint Couture very similar to Estee Lauder Double Wear ( a much-loved favourite of mine). It is fairly natural-looking, despite it being pretty heavy coverage. My natural facial oils don’t seem to permeate, and my overall look remains fresh for 12 hours plus. Absolutely ideal for an event where I want to look my very best for as long as possible – especially in the heat. While it isn’t a daily foundation for me (too much coverage), it’ll be a highly sought after come wedding and party season. As far as my own wedding, well it is definitely a contender for foundation pick. I’m going to experiment on how to make it look just a little more glowy and ethereal.
