Favourites posts can get a little repetitive and blah – which is why this year I’ve chosen to share the products I’ve been loving in quarterly installments. This allows for plenty of time to trial products, fall in love and see results, especially where skincare is concerned. So, let me take you on a little tour of products that have been getting a work out here at Beauty Bender HQ.
Oh my goodness. This foundation is off its tits. It is dewy, lightweight, ridiculously flattering and long-lasting on my little oily mug. Do I really need to say more? If you do want to know more click these words for a more in-depth review and wear test.
Helllllllo, glowy skin! This little miracle worker creates the most ethereally radiant skin I ever did see. If you want lit-from-within, then look no further. Super versatile, Hollywood Flawless Filter can be used as a primer, a highlight, an eye shadow base; either underneath or on top of your foundation. The big doe-foot applicator delivers the product with ease, making for a fool-proof product. I have been loving this for luminous, dewy skin which looks so healthy and happy in these cooler months.
If you follow me over on IG, you’d notice that I’ve had a bit of a Charlotte Tilbury/Cream product obsession of late, and this little tube fits into both categories. So, of course, it has been a firm favourite for the last little while. The Beauty Light Wand provides such a beautifully radiant, but naturally flushed look to the cheeks. This particular shade has a golden peach shimmer that really flatters the face and creates a youthful glow. If you are intimidated by cream products, this is the product to start with. Super simple with beautiful results.
Yet another cream product #soznotsoz. The Josie Maran Fresh Face Paint Palette is a handy little compact. Despite it only being in my life for the last month or so, I have been reaching for this more often than not. The quad includes a contour, 2 highlights and a blush, and the shades could not be better. The golden pink highlight shade is bloody beautiful and I use this as a blush most days. The contour is also a really good shade, that is neither too warm or too cool toned, but just right. The formulas are creamy and easy to apply. However, due to all the Argan Oil, it does need a little warming up before use in this cold weather.
These are my skincare saviours. The PTR Hydra-Gel patches come in a tub of 30 (15 applications) and are just heavenly. You pop them on in the morning and they get to work at soothing and de-puffing your little peepers. They don’t slide off, so you can go get caffeinated while these bad boys sort out yo’ face. Really hydrating, they are a pleasure to use and a little bit boujee.
Having only been recently introduced to this beautiful brand, I haven’t had much of an opportunity to really test all of the products; However, I have been using this for about 8 weeks, and I gotta tell you – it’s a winner. Full of lush ingredients (Marula Oil, Sandalwood and Vitamins A,C and E), this lightweight oil softens and hydrates the skin without leaving behind a greasy, shiny face. My skin appears my plump, smooth and youthful. This, in combination with the Youth To The People Superberry Dream Mask, is hydration central. It creates such a beautiful hydrating and nourishing barrier to protect your skin from those cool, dry nights that wreak havoc on the skin.
Would it be a Beauty Bender favourites post without the mention of a NARS product? The Lost In Lustre palette may look a little simple, but it is the most perfect daily palette when you’re in a rush to make yourself look presentable. The powders, as you’d imagine, are of such high quality that it makes the application and blending a breeze. The shades are so complementary and work well together to create an understated but polished look. Perfect for travel, in the handbag or especially perfect for beginners.
