I’m sure you are no stranger to the Summer Fridays brand. Not long launched here in Auatralia, Summer Fridays have already gained so much attention. With only two products currently available, and a third on the way, it doesn’t take long to spot SF during a quick scroll through your Instagram feed. With so many people singing their praises, I thought I’d dive deeper into these cult masks and see what all the fuss is about.
The OG that started it all.
What is it?
Designed for tired, out of sync skin, this uber-dewy, hydrating mask soothes thirsty, stressed-out skin by steeping cells in a nourishing mix of vitamins, ceramides, antioxidants and gently exfoliating extracts
The result? An instantly renewed complexion, radiant and ready for anything!
Perfect for the most sensitive skin types, this mask is formulated with no phthalates, surfactants, petrolatums, BHT, BHA, or silicones
What is it for?
Tired, dull and dehydrated skin.
Erring on the side of oily, I was unsure whether this uber-rich hydrating mask would work for me. But, it does. And it doesn’t just work for me, my skin just drinks it up. I was so excited to use it the very first time, that I squeezed way too much out of the tube, and after feeling how thick and waxy it was, I expected a total so-oily-you-could-fry-an-egg-on-my-face disaster. Instead, my skin completely absorbed it after a few minutes and I was left with the most gorgeous bouncy, radiant skin. Since then I’ve used it in so many ways, and there hasn’t been a time when it hasn’t worked for me.
I think the best thing about Jet Lag is it’s the versatility and multitude of uses. There are no rules. You can use it as a rich moisturiser, a sleeping mask, a boost of hydration, a makeup primer and even a spot treatment for flaky patches. You can rinse it off or leave it – it’s entirely up to you. This heavy-duty, but easily absorbed product works so bloody hard at boosting moisture levels and leaving skin so ridiculously youthful and fresh.
While it isn’t an inexpensive product, you can get away with using only a tiny amount of product which will make the tube last forever. I do think there are much more affordable dupes out there, but I don’t think they quite compare to the magic that is the Jet Lag mask. If you have the chance, head instore to grab a sample of JL to see if it’ll work for you.
The much anticipated follow up to the hugely popular Jet Lag mask.

I actually wasn’t planning on picking Overtime up. My love for chemical exfoliation sort of makes physical scrubs a little pointless. However, when this little tube landed on my desk and immediately washed off my makeup and popped it on my face. The fragrance is so bloody comforting. It evokes visions of chai lattes, cozy warm fires and cinnamon rolls. I find Overtime to be really gentle but effective. I really enjoy that it sort of leaves behind an oily residue. Despite that sounding awful, it isn’t in the slightest. Your skin looks and feels brighter and smoother but with a good dose of moisture. Not that tight drying feeling that scrubs all too regularly leave behind. I really like this scrub, but I can’t get past the $67 price tag. If scrubs are your thing, then by all means, it is probably the best scrub I’ve ever used. Otherwise, it does seem a little exy for something that ultimately just washes down the drain.
Have you had your eye on these little hyped products? Will you be adding them to your collection?
