If you’ve been a long-time reader, you would have noticed my tastes have changed from full-coverage foundation to more natural-looking alternatives. Needless to say, my interest was sparked when Nudestix launched their Tinted Blur Stick. I couldn’t get it on my face quick enough.
What is the Tinted Blur Stick
A soft-focus, light-reflecting mineral stick designed to blur the appearance of blemishes, discolouration, lines and enlarged pores.
How Does the Tinted Blur Stick Perform
At first swipe the formula does feel a little waxy, but once warmed up it blends into the skin seamlessly, and I mean seamlessly. This is the definition of a skin-like base. I like to roll the stick across my face and then blend in with my fingers. The coverage is quite sheer, but just enough to even the skin tone and blur out any imperfections. Initially, I find that the finish is quite matte, however, after a little wear, it becomes satiny. I like to add a dusting of my all-time favourite powder, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light, to add a little more life.
I did notice that the formula does cling to flaky skin, so I’d proceed with caution if you’re a dry-skinned gal.
It is love. I call this my Saturday face. It is ideal over sunscreen for a Saturday morning stroll to brunch, where I don’t really want to wear makeup, but I don’t want to look like a corpse either. My overall complexion is even, pores are blurred and I just look a lot fresher. It layers really well in case I need to touch up or want a little more coverage. My skin looks like skin, but better. I just wish there was more product in the tube for the price. I am even tempted to buy another to chuck into my pilates bag to ensure I’ll be looking good for coffee dates afterward.
What do you think? Will the Nudestix Tinted Blur Stick make it into your collection.
