Complexion rescue is neither a new product on the shelves nor is it new in my collection but boy, is it a new love.
Having started opting for a light, more natural looking base, I find myself coming back to this time and time again. Between Complexion Rescue and the IT Cosmetics CC+, I don’t really wear any other foundations throughout the week.
While it is marketed as a simple tinted moisturiser, it is so much more. Let’s have a chat about why you need this absolute gem of a gel-cream in your life.
Coverage and Finish
Yes, it is a tinted moisturiser so you can’t expect Double Wear, but the coverage is surprisingly good. Straight out of the tube it doesn’t look like anything special, but as soon as it touches your skin it transforms. CR effortlessly covers blemishes, redness and evens out skin tone. It can be applied with fingertips for a fresh look, or you can buff it in with a brush to really make your skin look silky smooth.
The finish is really where it is at. This lightweight formula turns your cute little mug into a much more radiant, glowy version of you. Your skin looks like skin. All your beautiful features still shine through. You can actually fool people into thinking you slept for 8 hours, woke up early to meditate and sip a kale juice, instead of waking up with crumbs in your bra after a late night Netflix sesh 😉
The reason why CR gives you such radiant skin is not just because of the gorgeous finish, but the ridiculously nourishing ingredients that will make you glow from the inside out. Full of marine botanicals, your skin will be pumped full of hydration for the entire day and your skin will be protected against any free radical damage.
In addition to all those points above, Complexion Rescue also contains an SPF 30. So, just to reiterate. Even skin tone. Radiance. Hydration. AND sun protection. What more could you want or need out of your daily base? Absolutely nothing.
It’s just a bloody good daily base.
It’s as simple as that.
Just a note to oily babes who don’t love shine – As gorgeous as this base is, you’ll definitely need to set this with powder.
Have I convinced you yet? Quick, head over to Mecca now to take a peak.
