July Favourites

It’s that time again. July has been an extremely busy month for me, both personally and professionally. But I am feeling really focused and motivated blog-wise. I have quite a few exciting things in the works, so stay tuned. Let’s dive into what I have been loving this month.

Indeed Labs – Hydraluron Serum

I am obsessed with this moisture booster serum. It is the perfect addition to my winter skincare regime – It leaves my skin so soft, hydrated and feeling healthy.  I have noticed a huge difference in the moisture level of my skin, especially when used with the Hydraluron Jelly. I have written an in-depth review of both products here.

Colourpop Liquid Lipstick

I am verrrrrry slow to jump on this bandwagon – but, don’t worry, I have finally come round. These lippies are incredible. They are so easy to apply, comfortable on the lips and long-lasting. Obviously the Ultra-Matte formula has more longevity than the Ultra-Satin formula but they are both great. The consistency is thin and watery, but the colours are really opaque. The colour range is HUGE and they are cheap as chips. The only downside is that the shipping may cost you a small fortune.

BrooklynBotany Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that slows the rate of free-radical damage. Vitamin C promotes collagen building, treats sun damage, fades sunspots, fights wrinkles and brightens complexion. Brooklyn Botany have created an amazing serum that is the only one in the world that contains L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C which in layman’s terms means its highly stable and extremely effective.  I have only been using this for just over a week but I am already loving the results. My skin is noticeably brighter – I can’t wait to see the results after more use.

La Roche Posay Serozinc

This simple, 3 ingredient spray is used for toning, mattifying and soothing the skin. I love it.  I use it as a toner after cleanser and before my serum, and I also use it as a sort of makeup primer. I immediately notice that my skin is matte, my pores are less visible and my skin feels fresh. Serozinc definitely affects the longevity of my makeup and reduces oil. I can see this little blue bottle of goodness being an absolute staple in summer for refreshing my skin. I am definitely keeping this in hand at all times.

John Freida After-Colour Conditioner

If you are regular reader, you’ll know that I am a lover of super hyrdrating conditioners. I cannot function with dry, frizzy hair. I am only completely happy with my hair when it is soft and glossy. The John Freida conditioner is an after colouring treatment for when your hair has gone through a beating. Although I don’t often colour my hair, I use this treatment anyway. This particular conditioner ticks all the boxes, It’s thick and nourishing without being too heavy and weighing my hair down. It makes my natural wave come out and leaves my hair looking so sleek and healthy. Plus, it is such a reasonable price as well. Perfect for me.

Lush Dont Look At Me Fresh Face Mask

Lush’s fresh face masks are always a winner in my books – some more than others. They are always full of nourishing ingredients and so fun to use. But this mask blows the rest of them out of the water. Don’t Look At Me  is full of kaolin, lemon juice, grapefruit oil, rice milk and ground rice for exfoliation. It has the perfect combination of cleansing, hyrdating and exfoliating properties all in one deliciously citrus scented, bright blue mask.

Clarisonic MIA 2

This little baby came into my life mid-July and I already don’t know what I did without it. I take great pleasure in seeing the amount of makeup and gunk that comes off my face each wash.  Although at first my skin broke out a fair bit, but after a week or so it settled. I have already noticed that my skin looks brighter and more fresh. Less blemishes and if they do pop up they don’t last nearly as long. I cannot wait to see even more results in the coming months. You can read an in-depth post about the Clarisonic here.

AmazingOils Ugly Bits Stick

This little guy is a rollerball of concentrated magnesium goodness that treats blemishes, skintags, rashes…basically anything. While my skin was in the purging stage it came in so handy. I would just dab it on a pimple and it would be less red and angry in only a matter of a few hours. I have been using this on ingrown hairs and lumps here and there, and they have gotten remarkably smaller, if not disappeared altogether. You can read more about magnesium here.

Oribe Dry Texturising Spray

This is the greatest hair product discovery since Fudge Violet Toning Shampoo. This spray is a lifesaver. When it comes to hair, I am so hopeless. I basically wash it, towel dry it and then hope for the best. A quick spritz in the roots and mid-section gives me instant bombshell hair. My fine, flat hair is transformed into think, voluminous locks. I don’t ever want to be without it.

Here’s to a happy and healthy August!
